Damn, winter must come early where you are. Eeking out as much Fall driving as I can here in Toronto. Very fetching shade of white. Beautiful car.

She's looking good. All plugged in and ready for winter hibernation. LOL Don't forget to start her up every once in a while to keep the juices flowing. Actually, I will drive mine (top up) during the winter months. - as long as it's DRY outside. Doesn't matter how cold it is. Just no kind of wet weather. Just recently changed the wiper blades. Had not been used once in at least two years. They seemed a bit dried out and stiff from age.

Yes,definitely take the old girl out on nice crisp winters days!

Hood, down, heater up, nothing beats it! And ensure it has a run out to the coast on New Years Day for a walk on the beach and a sea dip!

And the snow will test the LSD nicely!

I’m in Michigan, a little south of you so I actually could have gone a bit longer. It’s just that the dry days are less and less common in October and I suppose I put her away a little early to let me focus on other projects!

I do like the idea of a dry winter drive, just need to watch the dry salt on the road where I am.

My XJS has the wiper arms removed though with just the pivots visible and the arms/blades stored in the car for emergencies only.

So she is 100% dry only driving at the moment!

if I could find some NOS factory arms I might liberate her by putting them on, but as it is the ones I have are not up to the appearance of rest of the car. Let me know if you come across any for sale!

I live in the St. Louis, MO area. So I'm just far enough south (350 miles) from Chicago where we get more rain than snow during the winter. But when we do, they also use salt on the roads. Even if dry outside, if there is any residual salt still on the roads, I won't drive mine either.
So, NOS style wiper arms are difficult to find ? Did not realize this. Guess our cars are getting old enough now that little parts like this are getting hard to find. Yes, you need wiper arms that have the correct look. Even now, there are only a couple places that still sell the correct looking blades. I keep wax on the wiper arms. I find it helps keeping them looking new.
Maybe contact Welsh Jaguar and see if they have a good condition used set that can be re-painted.

I did this too as part of my recent 'cosmetic' restoration, they look like new.
