Large Throttle & Injector Kits
I tried to purchase the STD kit from Mobeck last week. I received an email from Ole. at Mobeck and, he said he has stopped producing the STD kit that keeps the original look with the existing distributor and throttle as of a few weeks ago. Mobeck is now only going to sell the waste spark kit. Does anyone have a spare STD kit that you want to sell (Ben)? AJK6 is also backlogged in producing new kits.
Not sure I know what the STD kit is. I do have one of Roger's super enhanced ECU's though I'd hardly describe it as a kit, I certainly don't have the larger throttle bodies or the extractor exhaust system Roger has been known to supply, I think you can get the large throttle bodies from Simply Performance.
I honestly don't know how Roger keeps going.
As for selling the Super Enhanced ECU it is certainly possible though I haven't got a price in mind as of now.

I was thinking you had the standard Mobeck ECU. The Mobeck ECU comes in the EFI kit with injectors, fuel hoses, air sensors, coil, relays, harness, Etc. You are correct, the super enhanced ECU from AJ6 does not come in a kit. According to the information from AJ6, the Super Enhanced ECU upgrade will work on all V12s from 1980 onwards. I have 1989 V12 HE, with Lucas "P"type EFI, Marelli ignition, 2.88 automatic transmission, new stainless steel Bell exhaust system eliminating the cats, welding in bungs for the O2 Lambda sensors, eliminated the first silencer installed the second silencer, new resonator and enlarged tailpipe from Simply Performance. I will probably install the enlarged intake valves, foam filter with larger air intake trumpets. How is your supper enhanced ECU set-up? Do you think it will work on my car, or do you think it will need to be modified? I don't know if Roger would have time to make the modification if required. Does anyone know how the changes are made to the ECU? Is this simply a programming change, and is anyone going to be able to maintain the changes to the ECU if AJ6 is no longer around? I still may be interested in purchasing your unused ECU if it will work on my car. When was your unit manufactured? I may also be interested in purchasing a new STD Distributor type of Mobeck ECU if someone has purchase one and is now going to purchase the Waste Spark kit.
I'm not aware of Roger sharing his knowledge with anyone to continue supporting, far as I know it is only a fuel map change but the details of that map I don't think he has shared. Even if he did the day is approaching where the electronics become unservicable, components are obsolete and you can only play the substitution game for so long. Like so many cars dependent upon 80's / 90's electronics the day is fast approaching where seeking alternate solutions isn't an option but the only way these cars will keep running, all the more modern stuff will end up in a junk yard because it has become over dependent on electronic gizzmo's for everything - couldn't even wind a window up in my XJ or XFR without a computer said so, rear lights wouldn't work because of some insane computer controlled power distribution, one poster here has had no end of problems and I'm convinced it is immobiliser based.
I need to dig the Enhanced out of its hiding place, thought I had a pic handy but it seems not, how is it set up - not a clue I've never installed it - it is a Super Enhanced ECU for a V12 HE, beyond that I have no clue.

The AJ6 enhanced ECU just needs plugging in. No trimming or setup is required. Assuming you have the large AJ6 TBs to go with it, you are set to go. If you have the OEM exhaust lamda sensors, assuming Roger was told that this was your setup, his enhanced ECU will deal with that too. If you ordered an ECU for an engine with no lamda (eg UK setup in the 1980s) then if you add them the ECU may not recognise it, you would need to ask Roger.
