I was wondering about shipping. Overall cost is a tad more than I estimated, but I wasn't going to get the ski jump. This guy I know from the Navy Reserve* started a job at a rod and custom shop not long ago. I should talk to him some more. He's already willing to rebuild my V12 if I manage to grenade it.

*I have the Navy convinced that I'm a diesel mechanic (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Constr...ed_States_Navy)), but I'm not really all that good. This guy is freakin amazing.
A diesel? A Cummins diesel??!!? Maybe if you take the hood off. You have 25 inches in height to work with. From the pan to the top of the engine. Maybe an inch or so more at the back.
plus the V12 is only 22 inches wide to the edge of the exhaust manifolds.

Not quitting but punting.

Not everyone has the ability, time, finances and character for a V12. Presently I have 3 V12's and 1 V8 swaped jag.

I see used v12 motors for sale regulatory for $1k. Even if my engine died I would just swap in another v12. It would be the easiest solution in my opinion. Plus you could perform a lot of good maintenance before installing the used motor.

All depends on your location. Ive only seen 1 non running v12 engine for sale in the last year.

Besides im not planning on keeping this car original. Never have been. If I was I wouldn't gotten one that need lots of work to be orgininal.

Quitter? Hahaha you're funny.

A 6BTA Cummins is about 38" tall. The bonnet does come off though. It's a straight six, so it shouldn't be very wide.

Don’t forget the turbo is on one side while the exhaust is on the other. A V12 is only 22 inches wide. A lot narrower than a lot of in line sixes.
