Leather Seats
The drivers side seat in my 93 xjs CONV is getting a little worn on the door side seat and back...I would like to exchange it with the non worn passenger seat.
Is this possible? Can the rail system remain and the seats be swapped? They look identical.

I have no idea if the rails, etc. are swappable. But here's a thought:
Fix the worn areas! A quality leatherworker / upholstery shop will be able to recondition the leather and repair the piping. Why move the raggedy seat to the opposite side? Certainly won't impress your passengers either.
Whereabouts in Texas are you? Easiest thing to do is find the local high end used car dealer, and find out where they take their cars to get detailed & prepped for resale. They will be able to point you to a good upholstery shop.
And welcome to the board - how about some pics of your Jag!

Thank you guys for the ideas. I thought about repairing the worn seat but, was concerned that the repair would not last on the drivers side. Seems the best solution is repair and swap! I'll post photos. This will be fun.
