Default A little help please

Can anyone direct me to a site that I would be able to get a fan and fan clutch for my 1991 XJS V12? Thanks in advance

SNG Barrat is always a good choice. They are a forum sponsor, but have a great website and quality parts.

WatchGuy,

Start by getting the correct part numbers from Jaguar's parts website. There's a change point for the engine fan at a certain engine number, but in the end they all supersede to the latter part number. You can then decide if you want to buy genuine parts from Jaguar, either online or via a dealer, or go to one of the independent Jaguar specialists. As mentioned SNG Barratt have good representation in the US.

If you look at Barratt's US site you'll see that they can sell either the genuine Jaguar fan (you should be able to negotiate it cheaper direct from Jaguar with club discount etc) or else a much cheaper aftermarket one. (They don't have an alternative OEM one). I know which one I'd buy!

As regards the torquatrol unit, Barratts can sell either the genuine Jaguar one or else an OEM version. If Barratt advertise an item as OEM, they can be trusted.

Good luck

Paul

If you have the yellow fan you should inspect it closely for cracking as it can grenade taking out the radiator. If there are any, there is a new black replacement fan that should be installed on your new fan clutch. I've seen it for as low as $50ish before shipping, but usually it's more.
