Default Location of battery (+) terminal in engine compartment

Hello all. I understand there is supposed to be a (+) terminal post in the engine compartment. My pax and trunk(boot) mechanical unlocking does not work for some reason and my batt is dead from non use the past few months.
Can someone provide the location of this terminal?

Thanks,

If yours is like my various other Jags, including a 1995 XJR, you'll find two big "+" junction posts on the firewall. Might not be instantly obvious. Look for heavier wires/cables and rubber protective boots over the posts

Cheers

Don't know if this is the"official" + Batt terminal, but it goes to the starter piggyback on main feeder and has a post on the firewall just abve the starter location (see pic). I didn't see a (-) post anywhere and most times i never see one on cars with battery in trunk(boot). Anyway, I was able to get a portable battery booster on the terminal and was able to operate the door locks to open.
