Locked out of XJ-S boot/trunk....fix
Drill 1" hole below bustle in center below lock...3"... pull lever down on left side of the interior at the latch. See attached photos. Best, JW

How they gonna know there's a hole? It's behind the license plate.
I've known of guys who could open a trunk lid with a wrecking bar faster than the owner can with the key!

I've been there, shut the boot while I was assembling everything and the latch was not hooked up DOH.....
I drilled my hole a little lower as I needed to get to the latch its self. It's behind the number plate so not visible. I used a rubber grommet to plug the hole.
