Post looking for 1984 xjs v12 repair manual...

Greetings my fellow lads. I am new to this forum and would like to get some help to find some repair manuals on my 1984 xjs v12 HE. I have searched all over sacramento for my model and did find a Mitchell 1989 Book. Its alittle lite on what Im looking for. I need pictures and location of engine and other parts of the car. I did find a web site
Jaguar Online Club: Book XJ-S
that had good information but I gotta find a good printer to print 700 pages lol
Anybody help?

First thing, WELCOME.

Fun will be had, trust me, and your car and you will be sorted, eventually haha.

My manual for my '85 Coupe is a Jaguar Cars edition. I bought it in 1996 when I got the beast, including a Parts Catalogue in the deal.

The Part No is AKM3455 Ed4/2.

I have NO IDEA if its still available, but a simple call to a Jag Parts dept should sort that pretty quickly.

Failing that, the usual "flea bay" sites might find one.

That's a good one to have. I also have the Haynes Manual and it is a good second one to have since it sometimes has a different format and has been very useful. Another book that I found valuable is a parts book. It shows every part that goes into making the car and it's original part number. All of the parts are exploded and that helps understanding how something comes apart and where that extra bolt we always end up with, goes. Pauls Jag has some original publications for sale on ebay for about $30 incl shipping and all the pages are thick and glossy...nice book. He did tell me on the phone when I ordered mine that the edge seams are prone to come loose, but that hasn't been a problem for me. The ebay listing is What makes this the ULTIMATE PARTS CATALOGUE for 1975-1991 Jaguar XJS Owners? | eBay if anyone is interested. No connection to him, just a satisfied customer.
