I have a new gasket and olive.
It's just dawned on my that maybe I have to undo both gasket/manifold connections in order to get the movement necessary to remove the front manifold.
If so I will need another olive.

Any thoughts?
Cheers J

Could it be that the manifolds must be removed at the same time even if it's just the front that I'm swapping over.

This is frustrating as I have all the parts I need I just can't find the info. On the verge of taking it to a mechanic

I'm about to take on a similar project. Can you tell me how this worked out for you in the end?

I'm replacing my rear manifold. I have the o-ring and two studs ordered for the down pipe connection, as well as a new gasket for the manifold/engine block connection.

JohnnyM, be very sure to torque the replacement manifold following instructions as to which bolts to tighten first. Do this in at least 3 stages so you don't put too much uneven pressure on the manifold. These things will break if not torqued properly.
