Default Missing Pipe/Hose?

Hi everyone, long time user, forum lover, but an infrequent poster.
Doing some small jobs on the car, 95 2+2 xjs convertible (AJ16), and found what appears to be possibly a missing pipe/hose. Looking at a picture that I have I believe that the unit is the Speed Control Vacuum Pump situated on the left side of the vehicle.
It looks to me as if there is a pipe missing/absent from the bottom of the canister, I have looked around and cannot see a loose fallen one in the engine bay, Is this how it is supposed to be?
It looks quite clean which makes me think there should be something on there.
Anyone have a diagram (can't seem to find one) of the piping or knowledge if there should be a pipe and to where it goes?
Car runs fine but is only used infrequently.
As always any help is gratefully accepted and appreciated.

Nothing missing! The stub is the air exhaust tube used when the pump comes on to make vacuum for the speed control. Similar set up/same part used on the 40 and the 300.

gmacaz,

First port of call when you're unsure of a part identification is always to go to the Jaguar parts website, from where Richard copied that diagram.

Cheers

Yes, it would help if there were links to key resource areas such as the parts website
