OK, 1996 AJ16.

I get a rough idle. Stalling when coming to a stop sometimes.

The battery gauge dips when the car wants to stall. Sometimes it does, sometimes not. It drives fine.

When I unplug the MAF sensor, I hear some strange noise and the idle levels out...until I press the gas. The tach drops to somewhere in the 400s before roaring to life.

When the engine wants to stall, the fan at the radiator seems to want to stop, then starts up again. Something is draining the power. It seems to cycle every 30 or so seconds.

Any ideas?

When idling rough, the short term fuel trims were above 20% which was reflected in the 02 sensors. Again, once I remove the MAF sensor and plug it back in, the 02 sensors are back to a negative number, somewhere between 11 and 16.

Air intake temp at 140, engine above 190.
