Question MSR Prices XJS

Does any know what the MSR prices were for each of coupe/conv/12/6 etc for each year. I often wondered how much my 95 conv/6 retailed for when new. As well as - the early models?

According to Autos.msn.com prices for MY95 were as follows.

4.0 Coupe $53,400
4.0 Conv $61,550
6.0 Coupe $68,550
6.0 Conv $78,850

You can check there for other years too.

Cheers,

Allan

I have the original sticker for my '95 4.0 convertible (build date 10/94) and the bottom line price was $63,320.00.

Default Msr

Thanks for the info - interesting how much premium there was for the Convertible and the V12. I guess there were not a lot of options available.

Yes I paid around that for my 94 after I had added a couple of options (CD changer, cold weather package). The prices quoted above were the base prices.

Cheers,

Allan

my 1978 XJS was $19,000. new.

and it is just an XJS , what caused such an increase in price, when most of the R&D and manufacturing processes were already done.

maybe bookkeeping or greed.

According to the inflation calculator, your 1978 $19,000 was equal to $45,000 1996 dollars.

Add in the costs to go with wood interior, Connolly leather, all those electronic gizmos, airbags, engineering returns on convertibles, facelift re-engineering and you can almost see how they got there.

what is inflation for??

sounds like some scam or something, seems the slow death of a society!!

OH thats it, most of us are just slaves!

someone asked how do you know a slave,, very simple, slaves work,, free people dont.

there are 2 types of free people, super rich and super poor(homeless).
