I found a wire running from what looks like a temperature sensor on the R/H solid water pipe it runs from the sensor under the aircon pump with a single spade connector but it not connected to anything any ideas where this should go?

 

In my 89 that's for the temperature gauge on the dash.

 

I think that's the sensor on the rear there is also one at the front and in my case it is not connected to anything

Hi the second photo shows the sensor on the front of the solid water pipe on the right hand side there is also a sensor on the rear of the pipe. the cable appears to run directly from the sensor

 

has anyone got a wiring diagram they can share please

 

My car does not have that vac solenoid so I have no idea what it's for. Grant may have a better idea. That wire looks like the wire that goes to my AC compressor.
