Default New 1989 xjs convertible

Hello, I just got a 1989 xjs v12 convertible with 61,000 miles It is midnight blue. I traded my motorcycle for it. My bike was a 2007 Kawasaki Mean Streak 1600. The previous owner said the color is rare. Can anyone tell me where to find out what it's worth?
It is in amazing condition. It does have some issues. The passenger window regulator is out (smokes if you try it). And the roof has a rip. the only other issue is it drives fine but if I am driving it awhile it will tart to hesitate and backfires. I am guessing that is because the other owner only put 1000 miles on it in the last 3 years.
Thanx

Welcome Grant!
I'm sorry I can't help with the value of the car, but I'm writing to try and help with the hesitation and backfiring. Sounds as though you may have a "Marelli" ignition car. If you have not yet downloaded and looked at "The Book", do so right away. You can find it here;
https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...k-links-20089/
Look for the XJS_Book link. Do a search for Marelli and start reading.
Briefly, what happens is that there may be a short in the distributor, which may lead to serious consequences.

Thank you for the advice. I really hope that's not the problem but I will do the research and not drive the car until I know for sure. It drove fine today but was lacking some power. It didn't backfire again and it didn't hesitate. But I'm glad it didn't start on fire.
Thanx again.
