New convertible top for 1996 2+2
Looking on EBAY just now I saw a black top for sale from autotopsdirect. The price is $369.00. Have any of you had experience with this dealer or top.
I need a black replacement for my car but must be careful not to grab the first of cheapest top I find.

I bought my top from Auto Berry on eBay - got the top of the line German fabric. I just got the car back with the new top from the upholsterer (I had a local firm put it on) and it looks fantastic, plus I saved a LOT of money.
The upholsterer did say Jag tops are a major PITA - apparently the cable that secures them is very short and requires the top be stretched a bit to fit - took 3 guys and a day of stretching, then 3 guys to secure it.

One suggestion - buy the replacement window seal from Jaguar directly. My upholstered told me there is a significant difference in fit and finish, but not in price, doing so as opposed to a universal replacement seal.
