New Set Of Drive Belts (Help with part numbers needed please)
Hi Guys
After my (Freak) Breakdown, when the Alternator Belt Snapped and then knocked out the Crank Position Sensor I ordered a New Set of Drive Belts for my other Car 'Cherry Blossom' which arrived about 10 minutes ago
And wonder if any of you Guys would be kind enough to Check the Part Numbers for me to make sure they sent the right ones, as once I have opened the Packet then it could cause a problem if I need to send them back
The reason I ask is that my Vin Number didn't seem to appear on their System, although they seemed to know the ones I wanted, so having now received them I just want to double check
My Car: 1990 pre-facelift XJS with ABS VIN (ending) 168169
There are 4 Belts in Total
(1) EAC1605
(2) EAC1323
(3) C43070
(4) 4PK840
Superceded from EAC9369
Thanks for your help

OB,
I'm not sure from where you bought your belts. But they should have been able to identify everything fine from your VIN. Those number seem fine as you can see from the Jaguar website:
https://www.jaguarclassicparts.com/u...elts-5-3-litre
The only one I don't recognise is the last one although the original number is still available as you can see.
Cheers
Paul

Hi Paul
Cheers!
I knew I could rely on you to come up with the Goods!
And although I forgot to mention it these belts are all made by DACO
Maybe they had a Computer glitch or something, so they had to use my registration number
I hope the last one is the right one as that has to go on first, as you will know
