The same engine was used in the XJS. It could be fitted to a pre-96 XJS but you would need swap in the correct ECU, harnesses etc. Its a big job but doable.

If this car was closer to Denver I would buy it in a second!

This seems to be the same engine used in the '95 model year (as well as some '94s and apparently four '96s), so it should work.

Again, find the right ECU and work from there.

I went and saw it.
it's in pretty ruff shape. but not to bad as to put it all back together.
what's also awesome is the owner just bought the "driven mans" 6 speed manual xjs.
it was amazing to see it in person. hes a jag nut. and has some pretty nifty parts that he wants to make available to guys like us. he showed me a new design to the throttle shaft bushings, let's just say forget those door washers to hold them in.
I'm pretty stoked to get myself some for my v12s.
