This in case you are curios about how may XJS' were built until 1996.

im guessing the only difference between convertable and cabriolet cars is the country they were manufactured in?

seems about right. the Brits know not to ruin their car with a rag top.

So the total number built is 115,413...I bet less than half of those are still on the road after succumbing to rust, fire, accident and lumping.

i would wager that only about 30k are still in operating condition. even less are still on the road.

Not correct. There is a marked difference.
