Default Only starts on easy start or brake cleaner!!

My 4.0l 1995 xjs all of a suddenly refused to start and to get it running I have to use easy start or brake cleaner. Once it does start it runs great and if I switch it off I am able to start it straight after but if I leave it a couple of minutes it won't start.

So far I've changed the fuel filter and spark plugs.

Ps, I can hear the pump prime when i turn on the ignition.

Any suggestions ???

Thanks jack

No suggestions I'm afraid, just curious as to where you hit upon the idea of using brake cleaner?
Is it cheaper than petrol?

Brake cleaner is a lot more flammable than petrol and my jag only starts when I either spray brake cleaner or easy start in the intake.

Have you tried to clean your injectors? If not have them cleaned, I get a sneaking suspicion that they are not doing what they should, and on a cold start its not what the motor wants.
Good Luck
