Hello all,

It's time to replace the battery on my XJS. My car has been at two body shops since the beginning of the year for about 6 weeks at a time, and both shops ran the battery flat more than once leaving the doors and trunk open. It's time for a new one.

I have been running Optima RedTops on the XJS and E type and have been very happy.

Currently the XJS has the 75/35 RedTop but I was hoping to buy the 34/78 which has a little more CCA. I do not desire to modify the tray in any way.

Is anyone running a 34/78 RedTop or maybe a like Cca YellowTop on their 94-96 XJS without tray modification?

If someone is running an Odyssey with CCA of 720+ also let me know. I was going to try the Odyssey, but the recommended one for the 95 has 620CCA.

I ended up getting the 34/78 RedTop, but I won't know if it will fit until next week when I pick up the car from the body shop, when I went there they had the car in a lift ready to do some under carriage treatment before putting it in the booth for the first round. Hopefully it fits the tray
