Default Overfilled crankcase...warning lights freaking out

Hi everybody,

My crankcase was overfilled, unknown to me, by two quarts. I drove it that way for about a month until I checked the oil on the dipstick. In the meantime, dash warning lights come on and off.
The seat belt light, parking brake light, brake light, and sometimes the bulb light come on in succession, then trickle off one by one. It seem to cycle every 10-30 secs. and when I turn and/or brake.
The car runs very well, but these lights are driving me crazy!

Thanks in advance!

Year? Engine?

I can't see what one has to do with the other. Or are you describing two separate problems?

If you didn't blow a seal with the crankcase overfilled, and you have since corrected the problem, maybe you got lucky and no damage was done.

As for the lights, first check all the grounds (earth leads) you can find and see if one if making partial contact intermittently causing all your lighting to "reset". If it isn't grounds, about all you can do is check contacts, relays. You might want to try unplugging and re-plugging fuses and relays to renew that contact (metal to metal).
