Default Overflow hose on 1989.5 XJ-S V12

Hi there!

I'm a little worried/confused... I'm currently changing all the hoses in my engine bay (can't go wrong, warped engines are more costly!) and have gotton stuck on one hose:

the overflow(!?) hose, which runs from the water bottle (left hand side, in front of the wheel, behind headlights) over the wheel well and disappears behind the wheel well.

I've been told, that it isn't connected to anything in there but oddly, I can't remove it. It sounds like there is something attached to it. Is that right? Can I access it somehow other than taking the entire wing off?

Cheers

Damien

Pretty sure that hose #7 in the illustration is the mystery hose you're asking about

Ah! Now that would make sense! Any way to access that?

Just found it... Wheel on left hand side off, remove the cover, unclip the bottle, replace hose... Cheers Doug! I'd probably be wondering what would be happening there!
