Hey so the original owner of my 90 XJS lost the door/trunk/gas cap/glovebox/convert storage box key. The trunk lock was drilled out to get it open and I never lock it. Anybody know if I could obtain a new key with just the VIN? Or is there a key code stored somewhere in the car? I really don't want to have to buy a complete used lock set and have to install it all. FYI I have the ignition key.

Your local jag retailer should be able to get the key details from Jaguar......mine did.

So your response got me thinking. I did some research and found that the dealer is going to contact Jaguar Heritage to get the key code. I should be able to do the same by getting a heritage certificate without paying a dealer charge. Can anyone confirm if your heritage certificate includes your key codes on it? If you are a member of the Jaguar Club you also get a discount on a certificate.
