found them on Ebay, the price seemed right for the condition. the reflective surface is in excellent shape from what I saw (did get them in) will get some pictures and post soon as I can. when I first brought home my adopted Jag it originally had the Euro lights on but were in a sorry poor state.

Been a bit laid for the past month, first pneumonia, in hospital for 3 days, following week, lower back was so painful I could barely walk, and yes had tears in my eyes at time, girl friend took me to the emergency room, had a shot, and got medications, yesterday and today I am walking soooo much better and little to moderate pain.

They are very thin on the ground, even the RHD version is difficult.

Greg, do us a favor: have the lenses removed and send them in to be copied... Then we can all have new LHD headlights. They sell here for like €1500 for a pair of used ones...

Not sure I quite want to part with the euro yet (other things come first), but I do have to ask: Where in Germany do you find used Jag parts? I've found breakers in the UK (will help with with getting rid of an AIR pump, but not with lights) and I know where to go in the US, but in Germany? Any advice is very much appreciated!

 

Congrats, I love mine. When I first got into the XJS I thought they looked odd, but after having one for a long time and seeing most media with them, I'm dead opposite now. It doesn't help all the worst looking XJSs and most SBC conversions I have seen with bad wheels, chrome fender lips, etc also have those dual headlamps.

I really need to re-finish the inside of mine though. At least the lens is glass and doesn't fade out.

 

I’ve got a pair in good condition but one has certain areas on the lens blocked out with some brown paint like stuff. Appears to be factory?

 

It is, my UK ones were the same. Anti scatter/dazzle I think.

The reflective coating is mostly gone from my buckets and the material of the bucket underneath is a brownish copper color. The lens is crystal clear though.

 

USED Jag parts as such or XJ-S specific? There aren't really any proper only Jag breakers here. You get the odd parting out (like I am with my X308) but otherwise eBay.de or eBay Kleinanzeigen. Mainly Kleinanzeigen. Basically the German version of Craigslist.

 

Thank you Daim. I was speaking of XJ-S specific. Headlights are the most obvious, but if I sit down and think about it I'm sure there are other European specific parts I should collect before I go back to the US. Things like an idler pulley to replace the AIR pump, etc. I'll be on the lookout.

 

Been searching for one of the idler arm pulley myself o replace my air pump, no success yet
