Default potential purchase

Im thinking of making an offer on a '78 xjs v12, the car looks good in photos and has recently completed a long drive without incident (over 2000k ) according to owner. What parts are hard to get for this car, and the owner says the breaks come on with a rush and you nearly go through the windscreen...what would the problem be there, sticking calipers or just needs a good bleed? (just had new pads put in) . Mick

I would guess the brake booster may have a problem. I doubt sticking calipers, or air in the fluid, would cause them to come on hard, probably the opposite. I just got a 78 xjs, it does have sticking calipers. The car barely moves, brakes do not release.
