In my quest to end the leaks on my 5.3 I have a steady weep on the steering rack. I've cleaned it all off and this is what re appeared. It looks to be coming out of the threaded part. Nothing above the middle of this part or on the pipes . Can this be nipped up or is it a rack refurb? Thanks once more.

 

What is above the leak? Is it the tower or what?

 

No. Tower is on the other side. Looks like it's coming out the threads? Cleaned it all off above.

 

If it is coming through the threads, and therefore their Sealing arrangement, it's a rebuild, Brinny.
Just check that the pipe behind the rack that transfers fluid along it externally (I think on that type of Adwest racck there is one but might be wrong) is not the source.
