Default Quick Question About Rear Shocks

Just got new rear springs and OEM Boge shocks delivered from Welsh. Only thing I cannot get a solid answer on is which way the split retaining collet gets installed. Anyone know?
As always, much appreciated!

If you look at the end of the collets, one side is longer than the other. The short side on a Boge usually has some writing cast into it. The longer side goes downwards into the collar. The writing goes uppermost, so you can read it after installation.
