Question R24 gas for aircon - UK

Hey guys,
Looking to have my R12 aircon system re-gassed with the drop in gas R24. Has anyone had this done in the UK and can recommend an honest and reputable place. I've already enquired at KWE, they can't help with this.

Please advise

R12 can be replaced with R412. Or you have the system cleaned properly and have R134a filled. The rubber seals are probably badly worn now, so you'll be needing new seals all round soon, so I wouldn't even bother filling in anything at all, until the seals are done.

Hi guys - SUCCESS UPDATE!!!!

A while ago I posted about getting my AC re-gassed and working efficiently. I didn't like the idea of switching the system over to the new gas so I looked for a drop-in alternative - RS24 I think its called.
Then I found Ace Auto Electrics who work with this drop in gas. I emailed and received a reply from Jordan Walker. He was helpful and honest from start to finish.I explained I was on a budget and couldn't afford to have costs spiral. (Budget and XJ-S in the same sentence, ha what a joke!)
He said he could pressure test the system and given there were no major leaks he would be able to go ahead. I thought about this for a few weeks and after a hot trip to London in the car decided it needed to be done.
I made the appointment about 5 days in advance and headed up to Leeds the Wednesday just gone. Jordan was so helpful, service was just excellent. He treated my car with care and kept me informed throughout. The gas held after the pressure test, so the new gas was filled in the system. He explained I needed a new THERMAL FUSE DAC3374 which he did not have in stock and said if I could install that the system would work no problem. I got that part from David Manners who are currently doing free shipping And hey presto it bloody works nice and icy cold!!!!!!!!!!!

Cost wise I paid under £200 as quoted prior to having the work done. Check out the website below for details... Highly recommended....

Another issue fixed on my XJ-S. Slowly but surely my car is becoming more and more easy to use like a modern car allowing me to use it as my everyday car
