So, l broke down and bought a boot spoiler for my car. As l didn't want to drill my original lid l got a parts car one. The '94 onward have the fitting access hole already.
drilled and the correct harness too.




I marked it up as per fitting instructions.



Drilled holes and deburred them . The spoiler with the 3rd brake light will need another hole on the left side and the original brake light holes filled and painted.

As i am doiing that, anyone who doesn't want to do that, l can swop my spoiler for the one with light before l get it painted.

Antenna LHD4120BA Fast retract no delay.
Shorting plug Locks lid to stop opening with antenna up
and the rear part of a parts car harness for the antenna plug and the shorting plug and wires to make the harness for my car. The '94 onward are fitted with the correct plugs.
Will let you all know how it goes.........

 

Trunk lid and spoiler have gone to paint shop.
Now to try and update the '92 antenna etc. to '95 stuff. 1st was to buy the correct fast retract antenna .... I got that only to find out that both the antenna cable plug and the power plug need to be adapted ...
Anyone know what type of plug goes onto the newer antennas. The original used Hirschmann plugs. new ones seens be push on., Is there an adapter ?
