Default Rear Springs source

Is there a current manufacture of the 4 rear coil springs?
I want to keep the stock height. Also will be replacing the
two front and looking for an OEM spring and I have looked
at several places and not 100% sure on best source and
price.

Both Lovells and King make standard and lowered springs for front and rear jag suspension. I ended up installing Lovells. Both of these companies are in Australia, but I have seen Jaguar King springs on eBay in the USA.

Both of these companies make quality springs and I know King Springs supply springs to some of the top V8 Supercar Teams in Aus.

Ron,

It's an increasing problem for XJS owners. There are lots of different spec springs for XJS and most are NLA from Jaguar now. Make sure you check the Jaguar parts website and know which part number you're looking for.

There are also lots of spring suppliers who also don't know all the different specs and part numbers of springs and will tell you that a certain one "will be fine for your car". Be very wary of anyone who doesn't know the detailed specs and can verify the part number for your car against your confirmed number.

And to worry you further there are lots of poor quality pattern springs out there. Getting hold of good quality springs for some Jaguars is a real problem for many restorers and garages.

I ended up using the Eibach springs that were developed specifically to be a sports spring for the XJS. I then used adjustable platform height Gaz shocks to really tune my ride height and rebound characteristics.

Good luck

Paul
