regular gas in 4.0 XJS?

Anybody been running regular in a 4.0 XJS? Can water injection be used in a 95-96?

I run 88 octane since 1998.

regular gas
No-one ever replied if they had run regular, 87 octane gas!

One octane point won't make any difference. 'Mid grade' in most places is 89 octane.
