regular gas in 4.0 XJS?

Default regular gas in 4.0 XJS?
Anybody been running regular in a 4.0 XJS? Can water injection be used in a 95-96?

I run 88 octane since 1998.

88 is plus, not regular if I'm correct?

Hmm. That's only 14 years. You sure that's enough of a test period?

No-one ever replied if they had run regular, 87 octane gas!

One octane point won't make any difference. 'Mid grade' in most places is 89 octane.
