Default reminder on temp guage

Is it normal for the engine to operate towards top of N (so top of bar flesh with top of N) on hotter days? Constant temperature today, traffic and highway, top of N. Infrared sensor telling me running around 195-205 F. Usually it had run in 180s, and below N all together, granted on cooler days. Checked to see if any air in system, no, and aux electric fan is working.

Today was mid to high 80s (Fahrenheit)

On another note, my filter of my after market passenger side right intake had fallen off. I fastened it back on but might have been off for day. Dont think two are related. Oil new and clean so dont think a big issue.

Open to suggestions..

Nothing wrong with 195ºF-205ºF...unless it keep climbing and climbing with no end in sight

Oh, sure, it would be great if the cooling system had the capacity to hold a constant 180ºF no matter what the conditions but that doesn't always happen.

If you're satisfied that the *flow* throughout all parts of the engine (especially cylinder heads) is good then don't let 195ºF-205ºF bother you

Cheers
DD
