Default Removing trip computer.

I want to remove the trip computor and I was wondering if it would effect anything else. I bought car with sbc and it doesnt work right anyway. I wasnt sure if it was essential part of electronics.
I need space for NOS controls and gauges.

You just prise it out carefully with a flat bladed screwdriver or similar. Then it unplugs. Insulate the loom end plug and that it that. Not all that much 'hole depth' is left afterwards though.

You may have to unscrew it from the sides.

You would have to pop out the two pairs of button clusters on either side for access.

It's tight but ultimately manageable. I forget the size of the socket you're going to need. 8mm?

It doesn't have screws in it. It just pries out, So do the switches either side of it. But the is no depth in behind it. 2 1/2 to 3 inches.
