Hi gents

my CEL came on, no driving issues. It was code P0116 which is the CTS. My CTS is recent, and from JaguarClassicParts, but I did notice that it seemed a bit flimsy when I got it a few years ago. Anyway, it’s a cheap part so ordering a new one is not a problem....however I think the problem is the connector. The top of the connector wires feel hard and old. Also, I cleared the code after moving the connector around, and the code did not come back.

I took a look at the Motorcraft connector guide and it looks like WTP 717 will fit:


Looks identical to the CTS connector



Hopefully it fits.

 

It'll probably fit, however the OE part is an AMP 963040-3

 

Thanks Vee- I should have posted before buying. It looks like the OEM is more economical too- Hopefully the connector I ordered fits and looks similar to thE OEM

 

Well, the seller said he does not have my connector in stock, so have used new wires to fix the existing one. I also ordered a new CTS from Jaguar Classic Parts

Incidentally JCP sucks for making customers have to create a new account every time they update their website. This is my 2nd or 3rd time
