Default sandwich plate gasket progressing

I have got as far as the sump is now off, by the time I clean it that will be it for the day, for a 2 owner car I have had for 20 years and always annually changed the oil 68000 on clock, you would not believe the sludge in there. (1/2") @ least round the edges
definitely, I shall not be running on basic gtx anymore, euro have good offers on all oils and filters at the moment so will be doing a bit of research into sludge, I put a couple of new heads on it 2 years ago, and I remember they were a little bit sludgy,

removed all the pipes and after a good clean and a wait for jdht to post the replacements o rings, and there are about 8 different ones. I removed the old o rings from the relevant parts, not one came out as a ring they were all totally perished, if my oil pressure hasn't gone up after this I will be most surprised.

Great job. The biggest difference in my case when I did this job was that the oil pressure got up to 50psi MUCH faster after startup.

sump refitted with ford influenced steel/paper gasket plus Permafix and Hylamar plus 2 x 5lt shell Helix and bosch filter. Just the lump to refit, both front springs painted (again) all rubber replaced with SuperPro Poly, new rack. (just for the hell of it cheap at the moment) top and bottom ball Jnts and new t.r. ends, (now metric)
I am on my own doing this its not that hard but you do need the tools. as Winston said give us the tools etc. etc. as my mate Bern said 'not technically
difficult just quite physically demanding' as I am 66 it obviously cant be that hard???
