just an fyi I looked up the sending unit and the i6 and v12 use the same one (DAC11189)
the convertible one is different and ends in 88 instead of 89 though.
there are 2 eurospare brands left on amazon for $60 and welshent carries them for $72. You can always check ebay as well.
this doesn't gurantee a fix though. While it the float can go bad, or the sender itself, my circuit has excess resistance somewhere. I know because my sender is brand new and still only goes to about 1/4. (as the tank goes down resistance in the sender goes up)
