Default Shaving and Popping

Thinking about shaving the door handles on my coupe and installing door poppers.
Has anyone here done this?

the door poppers are from Summit racing, operated by a key fob,or just reach inside and open doors.

the holes left after factory handles , are a plate welded behind door metal, then hammered flat and touch up with filler!

bottom round was nessasary because of rust there, so decided to custom to a curve, along with the sill!

So how do you get away with no wipers? Local cops don't care or you don't drive in the rain or your state(s) don't require them???

I'd love to ditch mine. Rain X works well enough for me.

Thanks,

John

That's my car. The shaving was done in photoshop.
A local restoration shop quoted $1500 to do the work so I'm still procrastinating.
