Should I remove the rubber flaps from the Fan Shroud? XJS V12
I wouldn't even park mine anywhere!
.
808 maybe i did not explain properly , i blocked the flap vents completly shut.
when my main fan comes on by electric thermostat, the small fan comes on also, so ALL the air flow is thru the complete radiator!
for my car it cools very well, never overheats or ever goes above 185F in hot texas temps ,100+ sometimes, i have a digital readout monitor always on!

most important it kools well standing still in traffic, lot of air flow.
Hi Greg
Great Idea!
But this 'potentially' lovely red Car has been sat outside in all weathers for 15 years!
I don't even know if She will even turn over let alone start, so that's one thing I need to know before I start throwing any money at her.
Though should a miracle happen, then I will be asking you where I can get one.

The one I got started, that has the 'Brake Problem' was 'The Ice Princess' which is a very late 1990 XJS V12 in 'arctic blue' which had been sitting in the Garage for 12 years.
The one to which 'Greg' was referring to is 'Cherry Blossom' another late 1990 XJS V12 in red which has been standing outside for 15 years.
Sorry about the confusion Lol.

'The Ice Princess' Arctic Blue Convertible (Brake Problem)
'Cherry Blossom' Red Convertible (Radiator Problem)
'Lady Laura' 4.0L Celebration Convertible Morocco Red (Garage Queen)
'50 Shades Of Grey' XJS Convertible (This One Is Still Running!)
'Arctic Angel' Arctic Blue V12 Coupe (Parked Up Not Used)
'Rusty' Grey V12 Coupe (My Scrap Car)

Our local extensively remodeled 'drug store" has a section of "Dollar Specials". A wde variety of odds and ends. I check that when there!!
And, as a loss leader, a 12 pack of a very decent beer is on for abut 12 bucks. NMot to mention the row upon row of all kinds of spirits.
