YEAH, I FINALLY GOT THE FEMALE LATCH OUT IF THE CONSOLE. i NEED TO KNOW ONE OTHER THING. i HAVE ALL THE SWITCHED DISCONNECTED AND BOTH ASHTRAYS WITH THE SUPORT RAILS. THESLOPE WILL NOT LIFT UP TP GO OVER THE SHIFTER. IS THERE SOMETHING ELSE I NEED TO REMOVE TP GET THE SLOPE TO COME OFF. IF THERE IS PLEASE BE AS SPECIFIC AS POSSIBLE. THANL YOU. THIS SPUNDS LIKE A JOB FOR THIRSON.

 

You should only need to remove the shifter knob, or if it's a T shifter you might be able to swing the slope 90°.
You will also never get it off if the transmission is in park, shift to low.

 

tHE KNOBS ARE OFF AND IT IS IN NEUTRAL, THERE IS SOMETHING ELSE UNDERNEATH THE SHIFTER AND I CANT FIGURE OUT WHAT IS HOLDING IT IN PLACE. THERE HAS TO BE SOME KIND OF NUT AND BOLT HOLDING THE SHIFTER IN PLACE.

 

You can't get the shifter off with the slope - that is a task in itself and can't easily be achieved (if at all) with the slope in place - the 'T' piece actually unthreads but can be tight - turn the side nearest you anticlockwise the other side the opposite way. and if you have removed those then there is little else left. Don't expect the shift surround with the numbers etc to come off with the ski slope either - not happening and you will only get more stressed, that part is actually rivited to the shifter carrier if memory serves. What exactly are you trying to achieve ?

And subtle hint - turn off the caps lock - internet etiquette and all that.

You are correct it is riveted. I don’t really know why another thread has been started as there’s loads of info on the help help help thread. The only thing that holds the slope on are the single screw at the back and the two small bolts under the lighter and cruise control switch. If you have a T handle selector you don’t even need to remove it as you can twist the slope over it. I have had my slope off multiple times and it really isn’t difficult.
