Default Socket or tool used to unthread manual transmission inspection bolt/Nut?

I am performing some basic maintenance on my 93 XJS 4.0 with 5 speed. I want to check the Manual transmission's fluid level. I'm seeing and odd looking nut that has an unusual socket inset. It looks like a special tool is needed to unthread the nut. What do tool do I need to remove the nut so I can check this manual transmission's fluid level?

Thanks, JV

The fill pug is #5 and JLM1180 is the part number.

It will be either allen key (6 sided hex) or Torx (star shaped).

I have no idea which it is, but I would guess at Torx.

Yes, an allen wrench or Torx appear to be the correct tool to use but the hole is far larger than any allen or Torx wrenches I have. I guess I'll have to see if my parts store has a tool large enough. Thanks. JV
