Default stereo wiring question

Hooked up a kenwood today. everything works. There were two wires I did not cut from the original harness. Basically I spliced the speakers (black is ground?) and hooked power leads correctly. But there were two old wires that went in the back of the old unit. I think they are power antenna and illumination. Does anybody know which one is which?

thanks

Locate lighting / illumination is WR (white with red stripe)
Aerial is YG (yellow with green stripe)

HI - I just p[ut a new kenwood unit in my 96 - the jag stereo head unit shorted out. I spliced the harness with all the corresponding colors and the radio works and the speakers all work - but the antenna - which was working before - does not go up - I inserted the antenna lead in the back of the unit but now wondering if I missed something with the aerial power.... but the Kenwood doesn't appear to have that in the harness.... Is your antenna working?

You guys are not using a harness adapter? EBay sells them for our cars. It makes things somewhat easier.

I just replaced an older JVC KD-AR880. Loved that radio, but the antiquated Bluetooth finally stopped working. That's a pain. The old Sirius radio brain (SIR-JVC1) also died. It was time.

I am stunned at how terrible most displays are on radios these days. They make the JVC look like it was cutting edge technology! Why is that?

I went with a Pioneer, even though Kenwood was on my shortlist. I picked the Pioneer because it uses Bluetooth 3.1 instead of the 2.x the Kenwoods were using.

what is the wiring layout anyway. i'm getting ready to put a kenwood in mine and do not want to wait for a wiring harness to come from the UK (seems only place that has them on ebay).
