Default Stymied by Window Switches

Long time lurker, first time posting, and I'm hoping to get help addressing a problem I'm having.

Last month, the passenger side window of my 1995 facelift convertible stopped working. Basically, it would no longer go down. Fast forward to yesterday when I received a "new to me" set of original switches...

After installing both driver and passenger side, both windows went down!! But neither would go back up!

I reinstalled the switches I previously had in the car (URO reproductions), since I knew the driver's side worked, and both windows went up, but now neither will go down.

Repeat the process... Both go down with the original switches but not up. Both go up with the URO reproductions but not down.

I am absolutely stymied. What gives?

Do a search on YouTube for "XJS window switch" . The top three results should help you. Common issue with switches. Uro switches may be defective out of the box.
