Default Sun Visor

This is a minor matter but I want to fix it.

when my good lady was lowering the left side sun visor the holder came away from its roof fitting. I was able to left the visor out of its holder and noticed the holder was attached to a plastic stringlike that stops the holder from dropping right away. I’ve tried to push the holder back into the roof cavity it came out of but it doesn’t seem to fit/ clip back into the roof cavity whence it came out of. Before I resort to an adhesive am I missing something here. I must admit when the visor is put back into its holder it’s indeed a firm fitting. Any advice greatfully received.

Re my post above. Matter has been resolved. The fitting does clip back in to a metal fitting. The dam fell out because the actual holder plastic has broken. I now need to see where a can get a new visor holder. Dam.
