is this supposed to come off?
The flange that is.
I'm installing exhaust cutouts and am reworking some of the exhaust stuff. Just from the fact that the flange isn't on straight, I'm guessing it's supposed to come off, but am not sure. This is the pipe that has been cut off the aft end of the stock muffler, and which attaches to a similar flange/pipe that loops over the rear axle.
In the background can be seen what I'm guessing is a (much corroded) sealing gasket that goes between the two flanges. Anyone have a part number for it, or is it fairly generic?
Thanks,
John

Yes, the flange is a separate piece. The seal that goes between is called an olive, part # CBC4131. Item #9 in the diagram. https://www.jaguarclassicparts.com/u...ncer-5-3-litre
