Tefba/Grano filters
Hi all,
Now that I seem to have resolved my issue Paypal and FasterJags, I need to find a source for Tefba or Grano filters.
Anyone have any recommendations?
Regards

If you have a new or clean radiator, and you have flushed out the engine properly, and you have not used any sealing gunk and you have decent antifreeze regularly changed, ALL of which you should have on the V12, then my view is that these filters are a complete waste of time.

That's a lot of "IFs", and then you still have to add: IF you always use distilled water to mix with the antifreeze.
With over a dozen coolant/heater hoses, an expansion tank, a banjo bolt & bleeder valve utilizing several copper sealing washers, a clog-prone overflow tank hidden behind the left fender, two thermostats, a couple coolant pipes along the top side of the cylinder heads, and two filler caps, on the V12, leaks & overheating are highly probable. Chances are also high that a previous owner used some type of sealant in the system as well (and then, there are those pesky rumors that Bar's Leaks was used on the assembly line at Brown's Lane, when the system was initially filled).
The coolant system is probably the weakest link on these cars, and the one which is most likely to cause catastrophic engine failure when something goes bad, so I think its wise to take the extra precaution of using coolant filters. I've been running Tefba filters on my XJS for over a decade. Money well spent. After seeing some of the crud they've caught in my flushed, and well-maintained cooling systems, I swear by them on the V12.
