Default Thermal vaccum sensor

Can anyone tell me if there are any consequences in disconnecting the vacuum supply to the sensor on the fuel rail that controls hot starts. It works with the fuel regulator on the left side of the rail on a 90 5.3 xjs.
The whole thing is my car starts & runs better without it, weather the engine is hot or cold . Just wondering if its bad news for anything.

If you have no issue with hot starts or any signs of vapour lock you can do without it. Personally l believe cycling the pump several times when very hot engine bay conditions are present helps more than a very slight increase in fuel pressure anyway.
