Bit over the top for me, but I appreciate the effort that went into it.

I like it even though it's just a bit much, kinda gives you the 80's IMSA craze Body style. Which while unique seemed to fade pretty quickly. I my self would prefer a little less wild, and more smooth and streamlined. Kinda somewhere between this, and stock. A few well placed tweeks / upgrades would be nice. But this is a little to gawdy. Just my thoughts. The sound however is absolute Magic! And ya gotta love a "Stick"

This is prototype for a limited series run from TWR. It was at the LA Auto Show a couple of weeks ago. The only Jaguar there, which is a whole different conversation. It looks really impressive in person. Wish I had the resources to back my enthusiasm!

Yeah, my sense of aesthetics is just a bit too conservative to appreciate this car.

Sure sounds great, though !

Cheers

Don't know why people rave about it, 660HP is no big deal these days and in a RWD car is an absolute liability, having had an SV8 and an XFR getting the power on the road is a nightmare, the latter was only 500HP but had a propensity for the back to try and pass the front especially in the wet - an all wheel drive with a decent power level would eat it for lunch.

I prefer my power in a more subtle and capable wrapper.

If I was in the market I'd be looking for a DB12 super GT, or a DB9 / vantage potentially, if I'm spending that kind of money it won't be wearing a Jaguar badge, not that I would burn that kind of money in the UK since you can't turn a corner these days without a stupid camera or a 20mph limit (can't even stick to that in my Audi and thats only 425 ponies).

You know a DB9 is just a hand finished XK though, but I agree I see lots of people here doing the mods to make more power on the XK's and I know mines a hand full in the wet and the TC light just stays lit up if I am not careful. I would not say no to the super cat, it sounds amazing in real life and it came at a time Jag decided all this woke rubbish to generally p*ss off its client base so now glad they are rethinking that. I honestly think the super cat has done great service in saving XJS cars since they were very poorly made. I loved the 3 XJS's I had and was sad when my dad's one (used in the film Wild Geese and driven by Roger Moore) rotted and ended up scrapped. Wiring was bad, bushed were bad body work was bad and god help you if you saw rust on the outside as in the inside it would be 10 times worse. My only thought on a super cat would be that they have done something with the doner car to stop how badly they can rust. I would liek to see one based on the later face lift XJS

And the DB7 is a jumped up XJS - seen one underneath and am a little too familiar with my 'project'. For 220k though I'm afraid the DB12 would be the path I took.
