Towing a teardrop trailer with the 1987 XJS

Does anyone have any experience towing a small trailer with the 1987 XJS? The trailer is within the listed tow capacity (3300 lbs), and I've found a factory spec tow bar for it, but I'm looking for anyone who will share some real-world experience of actually towing a trailer across the country. Thanks!

No experience towing with a Jaguar XJS but any car I have towed with in the past, I have added a transmission fluid cooler to the car. This is in addition to the already installed factory cooler running between the tranny and the radiator. Other than the obvious engine power requirements, keeping the tranny cool is the way to avoid fluid burn and failure.
