So i bought the car i spoke of in my previous thread...white 96 xjs 4.0. Picked it up yesterday, everything functioned properly. Spent the evening cleaning the interior, in and out of the trunk several times. This morning i go out to open the trunk, turn the key counter clockwise and nothing happens. Latch feels disconnected.

I did place my finger in the hole behind the plate and manually unlatched it. Im wondering if a accidentally put the car in valet mode or if this is a common " quirk" of these cars?

Found the small roller pin (less than 3/4 inch) in the trunk. Slipped it back in place and the problem is fixed.
